What Featured is, and what it is not

A Featured listing appears in a separate row, at the top of the homepage and of its brand page, under a heading that says Featured and a line saying the seller paid for the placement.

It does not move up inside the ordinary results, and it is not weighted in search. That is deliberate. The whole value of a classifieds site is that the order of the listings means something — newest is newest, cheapest is cheapest — and a buyer cannot tell when that has quietly been sold. Featured is an extra slot, clearly labelled, in addition to the ordinary listing. It sells perfectly well as that, and it is the version that is honest about what it is.

Questions

How much does it cost to sell a watch on Tokyo Time?

$9.90 or $29.90, paid once when you list. There is no commission and nothing to pay when the watch sells — what the buyer pays you is what you keep.

How long does a listing stay up?

45 days on Basic, 90 days on Premium. You get an email a week before it expires. Relisting within 14 days of expiry is half price on Premium.

Do buyers get my email address or phone number?

No. Buyers message you through Tokyo Time and you reply the same way. You get an email telling you an enquiry has arrived and what it says; your address is never passed on. If you want to swap phone numbers later that is between you and the buyer.
