1. What this site is
Tokyo Time Watches ("Tokyo Time") is an online classifieds service on which users advertise Japanese watches for sale to other users. Tokyo Time is not a party to any sale, does not own or hold any item advertised, does not take possession of any payment between users, and does not act as agent for either buyer or seller.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate details. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you believe someone else has access to it.
3. Listings
You may only list a watch that you own or are authorised to sell. Your listing must:
- describe the watch accurately, including damage, replaced parts and non-original components;
- use photographs of the actual watch being sold, not stock images;
- state a genuine asking price;
- be for a Japanese watch;
- not be a duplicate of another live listing for the same item.
We may remove any listing and suspend any account, without refund, where a listing breaches these terms. Listing fees are paid for the placement, not for a sale, and are not refundable if the watch does not sell.
4. No verification, no guarantee
Tokyo Time does not inspect, authenticate, value or verify any watch, any listing, or any user. Descriptions, photographs, condition grades and prices are supplied by users and are their responsibility alone. Any condition grade shown is the seller's assessment against a published definition; it is not an inspection by Tokyo Time.
You deal with other users at your own risk. Satisfy yourself about a watch and a seller before you pay.
5. Payments between users
Tokyo Time provides no escrow, no payment processing between buyer and seller, and no buyer protection. Money you send another user is outside this site entirely and cannot be recovered through it.
6. Fees
Listing fees are as shown on the pricing page, in Australian dollars, charged when you list, through Stripe. Tokyo Time does not receive or store your card details.
7. Messaging
Messages must relate to the listing. Do not use the messaging system to send unsolicited advertising, to attempt to move a transaction off-site in order to avoid these terms, or to harass anyone. We may read a message where it is reported to us or where we are required to.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of your photographs and text. You grant Tokyo Time a non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce and distribute them for the purpose of operating and promoting the service, including in search engine results. This survives the listing expiring, so that pages remain viewable.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Tokyo Time is provided as-is; we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between users, from reliance on any listing, or from any user's conduct.
10. Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes will be noted by the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
